Experiment 1 - Oil Vs. Water
Below are a few pictures of the child exploring oil, water and different materials. After this experiment the child had an understanding of why oil and water do not mix and which different materials mix within them.
Experiment 3 - Ocean in a Jar
This is the final experiment that was implemented with the child.

Allow the child to observe.
Children will, "ask questions about and describe some natural occurrences, using their own observations and representations." (FDEL-KP, 2010-11. pg. 115) |
